Q:
What races are playable?
A:
Orcs and High Elves. In several missions you'll also have Human
and Stygian units under you control.
Q:
There are so many heroes, are all of them playable?
A:
Most of them (basically, everyone except for characters like
Mizrakh or the Puppeteer). However, only two heroes appear as
playable characters in more than one mission (you'll have Arnak
as your character in orcish missions and Dayoma in high elven
missions respectively), others play important roles in the story
but only sometimes come to aid the main character. Basically,
in each mission you'll have your main character and 1-2 additional
heroes.
Q:
Are the dialogues voiced?
A:
No. It already promises to be large enough, with custom music
and new in-game unit voice sets (~ 120-140 mb).
Q:
Is HoS multiplayer/Battle.net compatible?
A:
Maybe. We're working on singleplayer now but most likely it
will be multiplayer compatible.
Q:
Will HoS require The Frozen Throne Exp. Set?
A:
You're joking, right?
Story
Q:
What world is HoS set in?
A:
Warcraft, of course. The time of the action is set long before
Warcraft 3 events though, and covers both wars between the Humans
and the Orcs. The story connected in many ways with the original
Warcraft I/II storyline. However, many well-known events are
shown from a different point of view.
Q:
Are the High Elves pure good and Orcs pure evil?
A:
Negative. Each race has its own villains and heroes, and there
are villains who look like heroes and vice versa.
Q:
WTF, Stygians don't fit the world of Warcraft at all! They're
too hi-tech and Warcraft is fantasy.
A:
Stygians come from an elder world and are supposed to have sophisticated
technology. Races like this can be found in many fantasy novels,
like "Fall of the Gods". Think of them as of evil
Protoss.
Q:
Are Stygians inspired by the similar race from Conan series?
A:
No. Howard's Stygians are basically ancient Egyptians and HoS
Stygians are more inspired by Chaos Marines (hi-tech superhuman
species corrupted by demons) from Warhammer 40k.
Q:
Who is this Puppeteer anyway?
A:
As if I would tell you :-P Just keep in mind there's always
the bigger fish.
Q:
Will Arnak and Dayoma fall in love?
A:
Their relations will be much more sophisticated.
Q:
It's said that Dayoma and Haralla have very close relations,
are they in love? (i.e. are they lesbians?)
A:
Haralla and Dayoma indeed have very close relationship. Dayoma
lost her parents long ago, Telros, her former loved one, turned
to be an @$$hole (in the game we'll see he cares only for war),
she doesn't have many friends so Haralla is her friend, sister,
mother whatever else. Haralla herself has no relatives/loved
ones as well, and Dayoma is the only one she can care for (and
she needs someone to love and one who will love her as well
- it's pretty hard to be alone for 10,000 years). Call it love,
but you don't call adopted mother and daughter lesbians, right?

Q:
Great work, your mod is gonna kick @$$, blah blah, could you
make a model for me?
A:
Does this look like a request forum? Go to www.wc3campaigns.com
forums and ask there.
Q:
Great work, your mod is gonna kick @$$, blah blah, could you
give me a model from your mod?
A:
Once HoS is released all its model & stuff are available
for public use. Don't even bother asking for HoS models before
that, be patient.
Q:
And when is HoS released?
A:
When it's done :-P
Q:
Once HoS is released, can I sell it?
A:
Absolutely no. Blizzard will drop a big hammer at your sorry
@$$.
Q:
Okay, okay, and can I put a copy on my site for free download?
A:
Yes - as long as you mention my authorship and provide a link
to this site.
Q:
Who's working on HoS?
A:
Basically, HoS plot and concept was developed by me (Rommel).
I also made all the skins and icons for this mod, and did the
terrain work. Other key figures in HoS development are Xaran
Alamas (although he's retired, he helped HoS a lot both with
technical work and support/ideas), Tufy (he helped me a lot
with the High Elves - both with ideas and models) and Magic
(Big Boss of Star Alliance, thanks to him this site was finally
hosted; he also helped my with all Warcraft I related stuff).
I'd also like to thank brilliant modellers J.Eggermont (aka
Garfield), Beepo and VooDooO, and all the SAVAGE staff who did
the sound work.
